Welcome to February!

School started yesterday for all the kids in our area.

We have been incredibly blessed to have 104 students sponsored for this school year, all of whom are receiving: Food, Water, Shelter, Dental & Medical care, Backpack, School supplies, Uniform, and School Fees taken care of.

The others who are part of the program but not yet sponsored received backpacks and school supplies.

Sunday was the big give-out day and it was awesome to see these kids receive the gifts of people who really believed in our program and wanted to see the kids succeed in education and life.

School is so important here. At least it NEEDS to be important.

Education provides a hope for a better job, a better job provides hope for a better living situation. Hope for a future.

And hope, hope is everything.

When you have nothing, when your family doesn’t love you, when you don’t know when you’re going to get your next meal, hope in something higher, bigger, grander, greater…is all you have.

There is a NEED for the kids in my community and all over Nicaragua to get their education, and start rising up out of the conditions that they are in right now. There is a need to believe they are WORTH IT to become something great. We are providing the spiritual aspect of that with Sunday School, Bible Studies, and home visits.

And we need your prayers to keep the kids in school.
My prayer is that they become excited about education, about furthering themselves and learning more about the world we live in. I hope for them to expand their intelligence, be concerned and educated about their country and community, and figure out how they can make a difference in what’s heavy on their hearts. I want them to believe that they can do anything, be anything, accomplish whatever they set their minds to.

It’s not too late if you are interested in sponsoring a student!
Visit http://educatenica.org/ and learn more about the beautiful children who fill my heart and my village.
Learn about what they receive through sponsorship and what the goals and passion are behind Educate Nica.
Sponsorship is only $25 a month!

Thank you for your continued support of the journey God’s put me on! If you would like to see pictures, feel free to add me on FaceBook. They upload faster on there. If you feel led to make a donation, there are a few ways you can go about that:

1. Write a check and send to Life Church. Make check out to Life Church, put Haille Krieg in the memo line, and send to 7001 Haggerty Rd, Canton MI 48187

2. Send money electronically through Life Church’s PayPal account. You can find that here: http://www.lifechurchcanton.org/#/about-life/financial-contributions. Make sure you specify that it’s for Haille Krieg.

3. Set up an Elexio account to have an amount taken out of your bank account each month. Log into Elexio Pulse https://lifechurch.elexiopulse.com and click on the “My Giving” link to the far right, you’ll see not only your history in giving, you’ll see a large link in the upper left that says “click here to Give Online”.  If you don’t have an Elexio account you will go to the above link and click on “need an account?” and follow the prompts.

All donations are tax deductible, which is one of the reasons for me going through my church. Life Church does send out donation statements for your tax purposes.
